Sally Crosthwaite

In 1996 Sally was awarded a Diploma with DISTINCTION for a Botanical Illustration Course at The English Gardening School and an RHS GOLD MEDAL for her paintings of plants in the Iris family.


Her work has been acquired by The Royal Horticultural Society, Lindley Library, The Royal Botanic Gardens Library Kew, The Chelsea Physic Garden, The Hunt Institute USA as well as many private collections.  Her work has been selected for The Highgrove Florilegium, a book recording the flowers in the gardens of The Prince of Wales at Highgrove.


Sally has recently been a tutor for seven years on the Distance Learning Diploma Course with the Society of Botanical Artists


Sally’s paintings appear in a variety of botanical art books.  She was commissioned to paint 16 watercolours of both fruit and tulips for reproduction on porcelain plates.   A dinner service features her agapanthus painting and four of her tulips were chosen for a Limoges dinner service.


She is happy to accept commissions.
