Peter French was originally a cartographer and then a graphic designer. He is a self taught artist using the mediums of watercolour and pen and ink. Also some acrylic work. Subject matter is usually townscapes and landscapes. Having lived an equal time in London and rural East Anglia he has spent many years capturing both the predesigned city and the errant foliage amid misty fields.
Peter is also an associate member of the United Society of Artists and the Army Arts Society. His work has been sold to art lovers all over the world, original paintings and commissions. Previous exhibitions have included the Royal Watercolour Society, Hopton Street, and the Menier Gallery, Southwark as well as many local and regional exhibitions.
