Tibs Yardley-Latham is primarily a marine painter who works in oils. At the age of sixteen he went to sea with the Royal Navy. This allowed him to witness and be a part of maritime life, perfecting his technical ability to capture the sea in all its glory. In the eighties he enjoyed a reputation for his work and has works in private collections in many parts of the world.

Ocean voyages with exposure to the elements and sea conditions exposed Tibs to some of natures most beautiful aspects whether a calm Arctic sea or the mountainous seas of a Force 12 Hurricane. Recently, he has spent most of his time painting in Mexico and USA. Today, Tibs has revised his skills and is becoming a prominent artist in oils although he has developed mastery in water-colour. His techniques and styles are very broad. His subjects, are a matter of interest as he masters most subjects and they are to be seen.
