[Associate of the Guild of Aviation Artists] |

Initially self taught, Chas received no formal art training, but instead developed a natural aptitude for painting over many years. His love of painting and a life long fascination for flying led to a specialization in aviation art. |
He is particularly fortunate in that his primary career enables him to be airborne most days and he has amassed over 3000 rotary flying hours, flying over most of Europe, Virginia and North Carolina in the USA, and Central America. In addition to this he has flown in over 35 fixed wing aircraft including the VSTOL Harrier. Many people have encouraged him in his artistic career and thanks to the Internet, his pictures now hang in many countries worldwide. |

Chas and his family have settled in Shropshire, England where he is converting an early eighteenth century property into an art gallery and studio in order to paint full time on his retirement from military service. Although aeroplanes are his passion, Chas has accepted commissions for portraits and motorsport scenes with pleasing results. |
